System designers are the engineers, designers, and professionals who collaborate to design the intelligent systems that will shape our future world. These are people with radical problem solving and innovation habits, and a solid understanding of these emerging technologies. This work will be done by specialized teams, such as a medical doctor who works with a team of designers and engineers to create medical a.i. automation.
At this time, large companies are already hiring more programmers than they currently need in preparation for this, and are paying full time salaries even when they do not have full time work available. Programmers and engineers are designing automation that replaces workers as we speak. These will be the most secure and high earning future careers.
Projections at this time are that eventually, around sixty percent of the population will need to support themselves through what are called “side stream economies.” My next article will describe the emerging side stream economy, and how to prepare for success in it.
